Rashtriya Indian Military College entrance exam to be held in June

The examination for admission to the ‘Rashtriya Indian Military College, Dehradun’ for Maharashtra will be held in Pune on June 1 and 2 this year. Only boys are eligible to appear for this examination.

The age of the candidate should not be less than 11-and-a-half-years and not more than 13 years as on January 1, 2014. Also, boys studying in or having passed standard VII from any recognized school on January 1, 2014 are eligible to appear for the examination.

English, Mathematics and General Knowledge are the subjects for written examination, while candidates are permitted to write the answers of Maths and General Knowledge either in English or Hindi. Question papers for Maths and GK will be set in English or Hindi. Interviews of candidates who pass in the written examination will be conducted on October 7 this year.

The application forms and prospectus for the examination are available from January 22 this year at the commandant, Rashtriya Indian Military College, Dehradun, Uttaranchal. A payment of Rs 405 for schedule caste/schedule tribe candidates and Rs 450 for general candidates will have to be made by means of a demand draft of the State Bank of India. Application forms can also be picked from the office of the commissioner, Maharashtra State Council of Examinations, Pune by means of a DD in favour of commandant, Rashtriya Indian Military College, Dehradun payable in Dehradun upto March 31, 2013.

Applications should be submitted in duplicate in the prescribed format accompanied with attested copies of birth certificate, caste and bonafied certificates. The last date of submission of the application forms to the commissioner, Maharashtra State Council of Examinations, Pune, is March 31, this year.
